Retreats

A new post up. http://angelfire.com/ny2/manatee/209322.html

I've decided not to bother posting these URL's on COF, as no one ever comments on them. But I'll let you know when I have written.

What's Normal?

This is the link to a new post, inspired by the article about DJ and the fact that Next to Normal is going to Broadway (it's a kind of heavy one).

Running

I'm glad you and Sadie are running again. I know it is good for you to get out, away from the computer, papers to write, schoolwork, and general nonsense. Sadie made the run without leg problems?

I'm trying Curves 5 days a week just now. My "broken" shoulder is complaining, so I'm careful not to overdue the arm execises, but I want to be in better shape to walk once we get to the campground.

The ice on the lake is rotting and is a peculiar gray color. There are open spots on the lake, also. I'm about to write about all that on my Angelfire spot.

Sent the article about Dave J. to you today.

With protest

I really wasn't supposed to be blogging during this difficult semester.  But here I am again stopping by to say hello.

Sadie and I ran today, down to the creek, up the other side (okay, walked half of that) made the small loop on Steadman to the gas well and back...about 40 minutes worth probably.  Then I dropped Sadie off at the house to watch the cat and Greg roll the yard.  I went to Jann's for the second half of my run/walk after she arrived home from school.  Such a gorgeous spring day...hard NOT to take advantage of it.

My back and neck are protesting a bit and I have to sit in a computer chair.  My brain is protesting having to write a paper.

Oh, right....the paper...back to it then.

Next to Normal

It took many, many conversations for me to put this musical to rest. This particular song, however, validated my teen years; I was certainly the "Invisible Girl". The difference was the "Superboy" was real, not a hallucination.

I may even be able to buy this CD sometime. I still can't get over how well the lyricist "caught" the whole bi-polar thing.

Thanks for the URL.

Wonderful Posts

I thoroughly enjoyed procrastinating at your site today, even if I did get a lump in my throat once or twice...
I am putting up the link to the front page with all the March entries in case Jann checks back in and needs a little procrastination time.

You may also be interested in watching this YouTube of the actors recording Superboy and Invisible Girl from Next to Normal for their new album:

Of course that is one of the songs that has a whole lot of meaning for you...not necessarily something to "enjoy". But they do a nice job.

I have a new post on Angelfire

The link is: http://www.angelfire.com/ny2/manatee/209314.html. Ive used this as a way to link on COF, but it apparently doesn' t link. I can't figure out why. I put in a plea on COF to tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I ate too much for supper

It was just leftovers....

It shouldn't have been too hard to say no, but I just kept eating and now I am trying to sit at a computer and I am so stuffed I feel like each breath is trying to pass through the food. Bleh...

So much for the good workout.

I know what happened. There was company here when I got home from my hike and supper got delayed, so I was STARVING when I sat down.

Well, I am not going to think about it. I am going to have a cup of coffee and do my homework. Hopefully, by bedtime I will be able to breathe and I will get back on the plan in the morning.

No more food tonight. No worries about that!

I set you up as authors on here so you can try making a post. I can always delete this whole blog (or any entries) later.

Well, ladies

It seems to be extremely easy, and Jamal, there are links to mobile blogger somewhere, I saw them. I will post them if I see them.

Mom, you may want to try it, too. You need to have a gmail address I think which was easy enough... And you could blog here and put a link on angelfire if you wanted the same people to have access. Do view the settings...there is one for only those you invite can view it.

Testing

In talking with Jamal, I wondered if I could set up a blog in 5 minutes so that I could explain to her and to my mom how to do it. So here goes...

I have no idea if I will use this space or not, nor what I will use it FOR...

BTW, the name is the name I used for my old journal...the second one....defunct at the moment.
